For the past 17 years, Rockport Little Theatre has been creating and performing a variety of shows at venues throughout the area. At last, in the fall of 2020, RLT purchased our first building located in the Cultural Arts District in downtown Rockport. The building was re-purposed in early 2021 and we are just now closing out our limited 2021 season. A season highlighted by the comedy “M*A*S*H”, the musical “NUNSENSE” and several live music performances.

As we begin our 2022 season, we invite you to become an investor in our future success by enrolling in our new Patron’s Program supporting the performing arts in Rockport-Fulton. With RLT’s purchase of our own venue comes many new challenges. To meet these challenges, our organization has re-designed the way we conduct business and serve the community.

It all begins with our new building. Rockport Little Theatre is now truly a “little” theatre with intimate surroundings and 130 seats per performance. This in turn will have an impact on the way we manage our Patron’s Program. In the past, multiples of tickets were offered per membership level for every show in a season. This has become problematic due to our limited capacity and so other reward options must be considered instead of tickets.

Our plan for 2022 is to utilize ticket sales to pay for the yearly operation of the theatre while our new Patron’s Program, donations and grants will be used to strengthen our building fund, make technical upgrades to the theatre and fund capital improvements to our existing property, paving the way for a completely new theatre to be built in 3 to 5 years.
